How long are the sessions and how much do they cost?
This is an important question. Everyone is overwhelmed with activities such as work, kids, home, family, spouse, pets and other commitments. As a result of this, I offer 3 time options available to meet your needs. Covid 19 has changed the face of the world so all sessions are Remote/Online Telemental Health.
They can be simply audio or you can choose video. That is up to you.
My clients are finding they appreciate the convenience and flexibility of remote sessions.
30 minute sessions are $175.
45 minute sessions are $225
75 minute sessions are $325.
Most people choose to start with an 75 minute session and then transition into the 45 minute session, eventually tapering down to the 30 minute sessions.
My clients choose to work with me anywhere from 5 days a week to once a week. This is always a personal decision.
The 30 minute sessions are most commonly used as a maintenance session, and to solidify progress.
They are also used for young children.
**I also offer an Intensive Track. This is a 2 hour session (with a 5-10 minute break) used by clients who want to ‘hit the ground running’ so to speak. The fee for the Intensive Track is $400.
Sometimes clients will use this for the first few sessions.
Sometimes the Intensive Track is used when an acute crisis occurs. Sometimes people just want to have a long appointment. Either way, it is an option for you if you like. The fee for this Intensive Track is $400.
One of my mottos at Real Life Solutions Counseling, Inc. is “Progress, not perfection.” Progress is often reported by my clients after the first session.
You are welcome to choose any session sequence that best suits your needs.
I accept Zelle, Venmo and credit cards.
** For those of you who would prefer to speak for one initial 15 minute complimentary session, I would be happy to arrange that for you. Choosing the right therapist is an important decisions and this can give you the opportunity to get to know me to make sure you are comfortable with me.
How much experience do you have?
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (L.M.F.T.) with over 35 years of practical experience in the field of counseling and psychotherapy.
I have successfully guided hundreds of people in bettering their lives and their relationships. As a result of my extensive experience, I am often regarded as being highly compassionate, as well as skilled at understanding the sensitive needs of others.
I am one of the fortunate people who truly love what I do for a living. Helping people figure things out has always been a passion of mine.
I received my Bachelor’s Degree in 1990 from The University of Florida and then my Master’s Degree immediately after that.
I received my Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy in 1992.
I began practicing prior to receiving my Master’s Degree. I have extensive hands on experience assisting people in successfully reaching their goals. I am currently licensed in the state of Florida as a Marriage and Family Therapist.
I have always enjoyed my career and never tire of hearing people tell me how through counseling at Real Life Solutions Counseling, Inc, they have transformed their lives and are finally living the rewarding lives they feel they deserve.
How quickly will I experience results?
I can honestly say that most of my clients report feeling better after their first session. “Feeling better” means something different for every client. Typically, my clients have reported feeling “less stressed”, “seeing things more clearly”,” being more aware of their negative patterns”, “feeling more calm”, feeling “better” about themselves, and “feeling more hopeful”.
I named my practice Real Life Solutions Counseling, Inc. with you, my client, in mind. You do not have years to spend finding solutions. You want to get more out of life. You want to improve your personal situation. You want effective solutions in as little as time as possible. You want to feel better “now”! I can assist you in achieving that.

- Parenting skills
- Anger management

Why don’t you accept insurance?
This is a question I get often and it is a great question. There are a few reasons I have chosen to no longer accept insurance.
Your insurance company would require me to give you a Major Mental Health Diagnosis such as Depression, Bipolar Disorder, Anxiety Disorder, Schizophrenia or any of the other disorders covered by your insurance. Also, often your insurance company will require me to share your personal therapy notes. Most of my clients are professionals, business owners, executives and the like, and my clients desire and appreciate the highest level or confidentiality.
I have found my clients appreciate not being given a diagnosis or “label”, as they do not wish to have a mental health diagnosis follow them on their insurance. This diagnosis may also make it more difficult to get private insurance in the future.
Because most of my clients are professionals holding highly respected positions in the community, they appreciate the confidentially of not going through insurance and not giving total strangers access to their current personal situations.
My clients enjoy being in control of their time with me. Insurance is often limiting and so often, when I used to deal with insurance, my clients experienced a change in insurance or using up all of their benefits even though they want to continue counseling for a little while longer. My clients were disappointed to learn that their insurance company told them their “time was up” to “get better”.
At Real Life Solutions Counseling, Inc., my clients enjoy being in charge of their counseling and are grateful for the increased privacy of not having their insurance company be aware and have copies of documentation of all of their personal issues.
How do I know if it is the right time to receive counseling?
Well, if you are looking into counseling then there is a good chance it is the right time for you.
Most of my clients say they can relate to the idea of feeling “sick and tired of feeling sick and tired” and are ready to make some changes and improvements.
**If you have ever felt this way then there is a good chance that now is the right time for counseling.
Why would a person need counseling?
**Have you experienced challenges in your life and/or relationships?
**Do you often find yourself worrying about things and experiencing anxiety and/or depression?
**Do you long to experience more joy and happiness in your life?
**Do you wish your kids would listen better or your spouse would do things differently?
**Have you experienced a trauma recently or as a child?
**Has your anger been causing problems in your life/relationships?
**Has there been some form of infidelity in your relationship and you are not sure if you should stay or leave?
**Do you long to be in a healthy, loving relationship?
**Have you recently made the decision to get a divorce and want to do everything you can to spare your children any unnecessary sadness?
**Do you find yourself thinking, “Things would be so much better if only…”
I can guide you towards improving the problem areas of your life. Whether you are experiencing conflict in your relationships with your spouse, children or family, or depression and anxiety, or feeling “stuck”, I can be of assistance to you.
